Privacy

QM Bench is a static website. Every calculation happens in your browser using JavaScript. The data you paste or open, including measurements, part names, FMEA content and 8D photos, is not sent to any server.

Shared links

“Share link” packs your inputs into the part of the address after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a server, so the data travels only to the people you give the link to.

Local storage

Saved projects, report headers, the FMEA, control plan, SIPOC and fishbone, and the 8D and A3 reports (including their photos) are kept in your browser's storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device and you can remove it with the Clear buttons or by clearing your browser data.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to count visits and see which tools are used. It runs only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Without consent no analytics cookies are set and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals (Consent Mode). With consent, Google sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) for up to 2 years and processes your IP address in shortened form, page views, referring site, approximate location and device type; data may be transferred to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

The measurements, part numbers and other content you enter in the tools are never sent to Google or anywhere else. There is no advertising and no ad personalisation.
